Abstract \u2013 A country\u2019s economic and industrial
\nprogress is strongly governed by the level of its
\ninnovation. However, the conditions that influence and
\nencourage stronger innovation trends are difficult to
\ndetermine, and this is due in part to the lack of a clear
\nconsensus among diverse indicators of an economy\u2019s
\ninnovative capacity as well as to the complex relations
\nbetween such factors. This study independently
\nanalyzes a few representative indicators of innovation
\nfor various input variables considered to enable
\ninnovation and ranks and selects them based on two
\ndifferent analysis paradigms. One draws an overall
\npicture of relationships and interactions between
\ndifferent variables and describes the position of
\nsignificant countries, and the other selects a set of
\nrelevant features to extract rules typifying this
\nmultifaceted interaction. A good consensus is observed
\nfor these two analysis paradigms.<\/p>\n
